The commercial vehicle axle is no longer sold alone. On 15 October 2026 SHACMAN opened its Global Partnership Conference in Xi'an with 1,800 partners from nearly 100 countries and launched PowerCore, a powertrain brand built by five makers: Weichai Power, Cummins, Fast Gear, HanDe Axle and Shaanxi Heavy Truck.
Five makers, one signed promise
PowerCore covers diesel, gas, battery electric, hybrid and hydrogen in one package, its value pledge released by the heads of all five — Weichai CEO Wang Decheng, Cummins vice-president Sai Junfeng, Fast Gear chairman Ma Xuyao and HanDe Axle's Wang Zhanchao. Buyers take a matched powertrain, not three quoted parts.
The network behind the badge
Chairman Liu Yi set three priorities — internationalization as the growth driver, new energy leadership, deeper localization — plus 2030 targets for overseas markets. The base is already wide: vehicles in 160-plus countries, cumulative exports above 450,000 units, 730-plus service outlets and 213 parts channels.
Two continents, two tests
In the Europe session the X6000 and X6000e European versions appeared having passed EU WVTA type approval, with TüV Rheinland certifying on site. The Africa session signed a regional service alliance and closed a milestone export order. One market wants paperwork; the other wants spares on a shelf.
Why the timing matters
Sinotruk (SZSE 000951) told investors on 15 October that January–September heavy truck sales reached 929,400 units, up about 13 percent and a five-year high, with new energy heavy trucks at 226,400, up 64 percent. September domestic new energy heavy trucks hit 33,100 units, up 37 percent, penetration at a 2026 high. Exports are over half of its sales, across 150-plus countries.
Margins follow the same curve
Sinotruk said Jinan Axle recorded sharply higher axle volumes and significantly improved profit this year, backed by high-tech enterprise status granted late last year and a 2025–2027 tax preference.
What suppliers must prove
Zhucheng Yihe Axle Co., Ltd. treats this as documentation. Type approval lands on the front axle's brakes and steering knuckles, the drive axle's noise and ratio spread, and the e-axle's high-voltage insulation; localization lands on wheel-end service intervals and bearing kits reachable through 730 outlets.
Conclusion
In 2026 the commercial vehicle axle wins export orders not on torque figures but on whether it ships inside a type-approved, locally serviced power package.
