Inspection and repair of front and rear axle steering knuckle

1.Use magnetic flaw detection method to check whether there are cracks in the shaft journal and upper and lower ears of the steering knuckle of the front and rear axle of the automobile. If there are cracks, they should be replaced.

2.When the thread at the end of steering knuckle shaft is damaged, it should be replaced.

3.Check the wear of steering knuckle journal, and replace it if the wear is serious.

Inspection and repair of knuckle arm

Check whether the steering knuckle arm of the front and rear axle of the automobile is bent, deformed, cracked and other damage. If the defects mentioned above are found, they should be replaced.

 Check the contact between the conical hole of each arm and the ball pin. If the contact area is less than 75% of the inner surface of the cone hole, it should be repaired or replaced. In case of severe eccentric wear, replace the parts in pairs.

Check and repair the steering rod ball pin

 Check whether the ball pin of the steering pull rod of the car before and after the bridge is worn or damaged. If the defect is serious, it should be replaced. If the spherical wear is not uniform, there is obvious depression, should also be replaced.

Measure the outer diameter of the ball head of the ball pin. If the gap with the ball seat is too large, the ball pin should be replaced, and the ball seat with it should be replaced.

with red Dan coated on the ball pin cone handle, check the contact area of the match part, if less than 75% should be repaired and replaced.

check and repair the horizontal and straight tie rod

Check whether there are cracks in the horizontal and straight pull rods of the front and rear Bridges of the car, disorderly teeth of the threads and other damage. If the defects mentioned above are found, they should be replaced.

Check whether the tie rod is bent on the V-shaped iron. The radial runout of the middle part should be no more than 3mm. If it is more than this value, the tie rod should be corrected or replaced by a press.

Check the car before and after the bridge steering straight rod assembly and tie rod joint assembly in the ball seat, spring and plug parts without wear and damage, such as serious defects should be replaced. When replacing the tee, it should be replaced with the pin.

Inspection and repair of axle bearings and oil seals

Check the steering knuckle pin thrust bearing, inner and outer cone bearing of the hub after cleaning, check whether there is peeling, wear and rotating noise, and replace it if necessary.

Check whether the hub oil seal is damaged or invalid, if so, it should be replaced.
